Farrah Abraham, who first gained fame as a pregnant high school cheerleader on 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom, made the leap from reality star to porn star after she recruited famous adult film actor James Deen to star in a sex tape with her. Now, insiders are saying her porn film was a way to keep her Teen Mom fame alive.
Farrah Abraham’s Sex Tape: Why She Wanted An XXX Film
Farrah had achieved moderate fame as the beautiful cheerleader on Teen Mom whose baby daddy and ex-boyfriend Derrick Underwood died before her daughter Sophia, now 4, was born. But after the MTV docu-eries wrapped in September, 2012 after four seasons, Farrah was struggling to keep and notoriety and career alive.
She tried to pitch her own spin-off reality series to follow her journey after culinary school as an aspiring chef, but the show never fully made it to production. Farrah also launched her own brand of pasta sauce called Mom & Me Premium Italian Hot Pepper Sauce, wrote a book My Teenage Dream Ended and released several music singles.
But nothing garnered her the success she achieved on MTV — and sources tell Us Weekly that she was desperate to revive her career after the reality show ended. An insider tells the magazine:

Farrah Abraham Admits To Porn Film
After a couple days of denying the movie, Farrah finally fame clean about her porn tape with James Deen, but says she filmed it for her own personal record. She told HollywoodLife.com in a statement:
I wanted my own personal video made and photos taken for myself, when I am older I will have my best year to look back on.
But James revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Farrah and her people wanted to pretend that he and Farrah were dating, and their personal sex tape was accidentally “leaked.” Kim Kardashian-style?
