The ‘Modern Family’ actress, 40, opened up about her new baby plans on ‘GMA’ on April 17, and revealed when she and fiance Nicholas Loeb plan on having their first child together! Read on for her hilarious interview.
Sofia Vergara, 40, dropped by Good Morning America on April 17 sporting her new blonde locks, and revealed how after getting engaged to Nicholas Loeb, 38, last July, the couple is so excited to have their first child together — so she’s freezing her eggs to have a baby!
Sofia Vergara: Why She Chose To Freeze Her Eggs
The 40-year-old actress said on GMA she froze her eggs because at her age, she wanted to ensure that she and her fiance start a family together:
[At] 40-years-old nothing happens that naturally anymore… we just wanted to plan ahead. My boyfriend is two, three years younger than me, and he never had a son. I have my son, Manolo, so it’s not that import–it’s not like an emergency for me to have a baby for Nicholas because he’s never had a baby, [but] I wanted to make sure. I already froze some eggs. I wanted to take advantage of science.
And Sofia cracked a joke that her eggs were already on ice! She said:
I took them out already, they’re in the refrigerator.

Between working and planning a wedding, the Modern Family actress said that having another baby isn’t at the top of the couple’s list of priorities right now:
We don’t want to plan too much. It’s difficult, you want to be excited, and then it doesn’t happen. So we’ll just wait and see what happens.
Sofia added that maybe next summer they will have their baby, but after they buy their house first.
It sounds like Sofia and Nicholas are serious about starting a family together!
