It was the last of the blind auditions for season four of ‘The Voice’ on Tuesday, April 9, and with each of the judges just having one seat to fill, things got heated between Usher and Shakira over one talented singer!
The Voice is done with blind auditions! Judges Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Usher and Shakira completed their teams on the April 9 show and it was a bit of a bloodbath! Shakira got sassy with Usher when he tried to poach a contestant that she wanted, and Blake nearly cried when he completed his team before one promising singer performed.
Show Highlight — Usher & Shakira Fight For Luke Edgemon
Luke Edgemon, former backing singer for Queen Latifah and Mary J. Blige sang a sexy version of “I Can’t Make You Love Me.” And he killed it! Usher and Shakira were the only judges with incomplete teams, and they fought hard over Luke!
“I would be thrilled to have you on my team. You probably think Usher is your man, but I am your girl,” argued Shakira. ”I would teach you to be great,” said Usher.
Luke picked… Shakira! She completed her team, and Luke is going to be a top contender.
The Teams Are Complete
After several duds performed, each judge chose one last contestant to make up their teams.
Ballerina turned tattoo chick Jacqui Sandell from Oakland, NJ turned Blake and Usher’s seat after singing “Dreams,” and she completed Blake’s team!
Amber Keratin sang “No Good Girl” and she was awesome! Adam was the only judge to turn — which was a total mistake — and she officially became Team Adam. Blake’s jealousy was too funny.
Usher was the last judge to finish his team, and he took on powerful singer Jessica Childress.
“I wanna marry her!” said Adam when she finishing singing Bruno Mars!
