Yes, the final episode of ’90210′ brought some much-needed closure for our favorite Beverly Hills residents — though one character wasn’t quite as lucky as the others.

Last week, Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) being crushed on stage by a barrage of flaming rubble seemed like a bad thing, but as we saw on the May 13 series finale — yes, I said series finale, and I can’t type those words without ugly crying — her accident turned out to be a good thing. Aside from a few bumps and bruises, the near-death tragedy brought everyone back together one last time!

Fearing for his one true love or whatever, Liam (Matt Lanter) canceled his trip to Australia to check up on Annie (Shenae Grimes), while Navid (Michael Steger Jr.) got a chance to play hero with Ade. Seriously, am I the only one surprised that zero rescue workers thought to check on the girl who was ON STAGE when the entire freakin’ structure collapsed?

No Silver Lining For Silver

Even Silver (Jessica Stroup) totes forgot about her potential cancer diagnosis, instead rushing make sure Adrianna — who has tried to kill Silver numerous times — was alive and well. Unfortunately, Silver’s cancer totes did not forget about her. The unluckiest girl in television history received a call from her doctor; and yes, she’s got it!

Real talk, though, I could not be more upset with the way Silver’s journey ended. After everything she’s been through — dealing with being bipolar, losing her surrogate baby, etc. — to have her end the series with cancer is just the worst. I understand the writers didn’t have enough time to wrap up every story line, but I would have preferred them to just cut all of her scenes and replace them with Who’s Line Is It Anyway sketches. Like, anything other than her getting cancer.

The only teeny, tiny upside was that we got one last couple-y moment between Silver and Dixon (Tristan Wilds). I’ve been sailing the good ship #Sixon ever since season one, so I liked that they sort of almost ended up together. In a way.

Naomi & The Randoms

But amidst all the new drama, many things about the 90210 finale were exactly as they should have been: Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) used the tragedy to throw a relief concert to make herself look better, making way for two super-random guest stars: The Goo Goo Dolls and — wait for it – Prince Michael Jackson. She also ended up with her guy-of-the-moment, Jordan (Robbie Jones), who I’m sure would not have lasted through three episodes of season six.

#Lannie4Ever

Fortunately, the episode wasn’t a total downer. That step-skank Savannah convinced Liam to read the end of Undressed – Liam can read? – so he’d know Annie was the one for him. He hopped on his motorcycle and chased down Annie’s plane, a romantic gesture that ended in a dramatic proposal!

Yes, friends, after five seasons — and way too many unnecessary obstacles — Liam and Annie are finally engaged! All is now right in Beverly Hills, as everyone got the happy ending they deserved.

Except Silver. She still has cancer.
