‘Survivor: Caramoan’ finally crowned its winner on May 12, after a cutthroat season of blindsides, backstabbing and broken promises.
Once seen as a weakling, the most deserving player ended up winning on the season finale of Survivor: Caramoan — Fans vs. Favorites and took home $1 million!
‘Survivor: Caramoan’ Winner — John Cochran Wins Tribal Council Votes
John Cochran took home the title of sole survivor, despite being labeled as disloyal and mocked for his inability in challenges the last time he played in Survivor: South Pacific. This time around, John won four challenges.
The episode began with an immediate medical evacuation, as Erik left the previous Tribal Council only to feel his head spinning. He was pulled due to dangerously low blood pressure, leaving only four players left on the council — John, Dawn, Sherri, and Eddie.
Eddie was soon eliminated.
In the final tribal council, nine jurors, who were previously voted off throughout the season, took shots at the finalists. Sherri was criticized for riding the coattails of Dawn and John. Dawn was berated for forming personal relationships with contestants before stabbing them in the back. And John was criticized for being lazy and allowing Dawn to do all the work.
Jeff Probst Names A Winner
Jeff Probst read the nine votes from the jurors and John was crowned the winner.
After his win, John said, ”Obviously, it feels incredible. I’ve loved this game for half of my life. It’s a dream come true.”
