In a video interview with SELF‘s Editor-in-Chief, Lucy Danziger, Shay admits her favorite exercises and her weakness — pizza!
“I've had pizza everyday since I've [been in New York.]” But to balance out her pizza cravings, Shay says she hits up Equinox gym. She also loves to switch it up with classes with “Tracy Anderson. I love that. And I really love running.”
On her favorite outdoor activity on a Saturday, Shay admits she rides her bike to Venice Beach and Santa Monica in California. She even dances and drums in the beach-side drum circles!
Shay also says if she doesn’t get enough sleep, she likes to lay backwards with her head off the edge of the bed and let the blood flow to her face for one minute. Voila — instant glow!

In an interview with PEOPLE, Shay says: “What makes me feel the most beautiful is probably when I get home from the gym or any form of workout. It clears up my mind and my body feels good and strong and there's a different kind of confidence and happiness.”
“One of my favorite beauty tips is from my mom – moisturize, moisturize, moisturize – and then she added the coconut oil. My mom is from the Philippines and they use a lot of that over there for their hair and their skin so if you have some coconut oil, that's my beauty trick!”
