Chris Brown isn’t letting himself get worked up over recent charges, which claim he fled the scene of a car accident, provided false insurance information and failed to present a valid driver’s license in May. Due to his age and fame, Chris feels that people are just trying to knock him down.
Chris Brown Charges — Breezy’s Reaction To Hit & Run Revealed
Chris isn’t “tripping too hard on it. He just thinks everyone is out to [mess] with him because he’s young and famous,” a source close to the singer tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
The 24-year-old singer “thinks it’s ridiculous and everybody involved is trying to get their name out there — even the DA and whoever else is trying to knock [him] for his success.”
“[Chris] did everything he was supposed to. He got out the car, gave the woman his info and nobody was hurt. Both of their cars were in perfect shape. It wasn’t even a minor fender bender. It was less than minor,” the source added.
Chris Brown Faces Possible Prison Sentence
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, The L.A. City Attorney's office filed two criminal charges against Chris on June 25. If the "Fine China" singer is found guilty, he could be sentenced to up to four years in prison.
On a positive note, Chris will certainly have a shoulder to lean on, in the case that he’s found guilty of these charges.

Chris’ current squeeze, Karrueche Tran, isn’t happy about the criminal charges filed against Chris. She witnessed the May 2013 car accident, which these charges stem from, and says Chris is not guilty of any of these accusations, a source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. She plans to support him throughout the entire ordeal.
