The Queen is leaving on her scheduled annual summer holiday at the end of the week — adding even more pressure to Kate’s impending delivery. What lengths will the royal family go to to make sure that the Queen is around for the birth?

We’re all anxiously on “Kate Wait,” but so is the Queen. Queen Elizabeth II is undoubtedly thrilled at the prospect of the new royal arrival — but the waiting is getting to be a little much for the 87-year-old monarch. Growing impatient, the Queen hopes that the baby will get here soon as not to interfere with her scheduled vacation. Will the Queen get what the Queen wants, Kate Middleton and Prince William?

Queen Elizabeth II: Impatient For Royal Baby’s Arrival

We are all getting antsy as we wait for the royal baby to arrive, but even the Queen is offering up choice comments about speeding up the process. ”I would very much like it to arrive. I’m going on holiday,” Queen Elizabeth II told a group of gathered schoolchildren at an appearance in Lake Windermere in Cumbria on July 17, adding “no sign yet.”

Queen Elizabeth II Leaving On Vacation: Kate To Give Birth Before She Leaves?

The Queen is going to be leaving for her scheduled annual summer vacation in Balmoral on July 19. Since she wants to be around for the birth to meet the baby, the family has only a few options: postpone the trip or speed up the birth!

It is common for pregnant women to be induced after being two weeks overdue with their babies. But since the palace never released an official due date — and Kate’s mom Carole Middleton hinted at her grandbaby being born after July 23 — it could be as late as August until the little Prince or Princess arrives!

Queen Elizabeth II: Does She Know The Sex Of The Royal Baby?

The question on everyone’s mind, one child at the Lake Windermere appearance asked the Queen if she knows whether the baby will be a boy or a girl. ”I don’t think I mind [either way],” she answered. If she knows in advance, she is keeping mum!

What do YOU think, HollyMoms? Would Kate induce labor to have her baby this week?
