Our hearts are breaking for Lea as she copes with the unthinkable loss of Cory, 31, who was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room on July 13.
Lea was so in love with Cory that her whole identity was wrapped up in him and in being his girlfriend, a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
“Everything she did or saw, she related to Cory,” our source reveals. “If she saw something funny, she would say, ‘Cory would love that,’ or if she did something cool, she would want to do it again with Cory.”
Lea absolutely saw herself marrying Cory one day, the source says.
“Like most girls, Lea has been planning her dream wedding since she was a little girl, and Cory fit in perfectly as her dream husband. She was 100 percent sure it would happen,” our source reveals. ”She used to doodle their names together on the edges of her scripts, the way kids in school do, and she thought ‘Lea Michele Monteith’ sounded great. She’s a total romantic, and she believed they were going to be together forever.”

Lea thought Cory was the hottest, dreamiest guy on the planet, but more than anything, she loved his heart and mind.
“He was an extremely deep thinker, and he was seriously one of the sweetest guys you could ever meet,” the source reveals. “Lea was blown away by his kindness — she said it inspired her. He was beyond compassionate – he never said a bad word about anyone and was always giving to other people.”
In fact, Cory was so generous that if he walked past a homeless person on the street and didn’t have any money to hand them, he would stop to get cash at an ATM and go back.
It’s no wonder that Lea couldn’t wait to start a family with Cory.
“It was something they talked about, and Lea was 100 percent ready,” the source reveals. “She was so sure it was all going to go according to plan. Cory was going to move in, propose and then Lea would get pregnant.”
