Fans were shocked during the July 29 semi final, when Brooks told Desiree that he didn’t love her and he was leaving the show, but she then she realized that what he was looking for all along was right under her nose!
After Desiree rightly eliminated Drew Kenney – she realized she loved Chris and accepted his proposal!

Desiree Hartsock — I Know I Made The Right Choice
Desiree, 27, has been engaged since the finale was filmed in May, and she could not be more confident with her decision.
"She's over the moon!" a friend said. "Desiree believes she made the right choice. [She] is absolutely beside herself with happiness. She seems to have a constant smile on her face."
Speaking about her choice, Des admitted that she followed her heart.
"I followed and trusted my heart the best I could," said Des. "I was looking for someone who was going to be spontaneous and adventurous while still being very supportive and and caring. And someone who ultimately can understand me and be my best friend."
Hooray for Desiree and Chris! They are totally meant to be, and though the road to love was a little bumpy for them, they are going to be together for a very long time.
