Looks like the royal family is just like any other where grandchildren are concerned — parents will be asking for them until they arrive! But Prince Harry can relax a bit now that his royal nephew has arrived to one day fill the throne.
Prince Harry is off the hook — for now at least! Now that his brother Prince William has produced an heir to the throne with the birth of Prince George, he can relax about the immense pressure! Well, at least for a little while!
Prince Harry: Pressure To Produce An Heir Is ‘Off’
With the July 22 arrival of Prince George, the British royal family met the third heir in line for the throne. But Prince Harry reveals that Prince Charles was just itching to have darling grandchildren in his life in general — not necessarily just to secure the throne!
“My father is over the moon to be a grandfather,” Prince Harry told a group of Royal Marines at Devonport, Plymouth, on August 2. So does that mean Charles is satisfied with one heir?
“He’s got one [grandchild] now it will be fine,” Harry explained. “The pressure’s off now.”
Harry has surely been feeling the pressure to start a family of his own, but a lot of the stress is gone when his family’s royal lineage isn’t at stake!
Prince Charles Excited To Be A First-Time Grandpa
Prince Charles has been perhaps the most excited member of the royal family in welcoming Prince George. He simply gushed over the excitement of being a grandpa, following the news of George’s birth. Charles also revealed that the family is calling Prince George the endearing nickname, “Georgie,” which means he’s already getting to know his little grandson’s personality!
So while the royal heir to the throne has already been produced, surely Prince Charles would be delighted with more grandchildren! If Prince Harry does eventually have children, they won’t feel that overwhelming pressure of taking on the throne either!
