Not only did Russell Brand tell his former wife Katy Perry that he was divorcing her through a text message, but now he’s dissing her live on stage! At a comedy show in London on July 31, Russell joked about the commitment of marriage and how you can only sleep with one person, and he revealed that he often thought of other people while having sex with his wife. Russell Brand Disses Katy Perry — I Would Imagine Having Sex With ‘Anyone Else’
Russell, 38, was performing at Soho Theatre in London ahead of his Messiah Complex UK tour, when he decided to throw a dig at his former wife.
“When you’re a monk, you’re not allowed to have sex with anyone,” Russell joked, reports the Daily Mail. ”When you’re married, it’s one person. That’s one more than a monk. It’s not that different. I’d be having sex thinking, ‘think of anyone, anyone else.’”
Russell has only been married once, so there is no doubt about who he was referring to.
That is so mean! Russell told an entire audience of 150 people that he used to imagine other women while having sex with his wife, which is not only humiliating to Katy, it is also such a cheap joke.
Russell Brand Sent Divorce Text To Katy Perry
Katy, 28, recently revealed in an intimate interview with Vogue that Russell asked her for a divorce by text.
"He’s a very smart man, and I was in love with him when I married him. Let’s just say I haven’t heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me December 31, 2011,” Katy told Vogue.
Ouch! A text message doesn’t seem very respectful or appropriate. They were married for just over a year. Katy is currently loved up with singer John Mayer, so thankfully she has moved onwards and upwards!
