It’s official! MTV may not be confirming that ‘NSYNC is reuniting at the Video Music Awards on Aug. 25, but Joey Fatone’s dad let the cat out of the bag. Keep reading to see what he said!
Here we go — ‘NSYNC will be reuniting for a one-time only performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 25, Joey Fatone’s dad, Joe Fatone, Sr. recently revealed.
NSYNC Reunion At VMAs — Joey Fatone’s Dad Confirms MTV Performance
"They're doing a performance,” Joey’s dad told Radar Online, following multiple reports, which claimed the highly anticipated reunion would be happening.
"I think it's exciting," he said before reiterating, "…they're doing a performance," as opposed to simply presenting.
Apparently, Joey consulted his dad on the decision to reunite with his bandmates. “I couldn't even say why he's doing it though. Why, at this point in his life. Now he's his own man,” Joey Fatone, Sr. said. "But it's more to the fact that MTV has made them all somewhat of stars, and also made Justin a star.”
As far as details are concerned, Joey wouldn’t say much. "I don't even know what has gone into this performance. … I plead the fifth. I would suggest that you tell all your readers and everyone on the Internet, all your social media, tell them to watch!”
Joey Fatone, Jr., however, denied the reunion reports, with a huge smile on his face, when he was approached by reporters at JFK airport in NYC on Aug. 22.
