Robert Pattinson is doing everything he can to move on with his life after spending the majority of the last five years dating his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, 23. But while Rob, 27, may be ready to put his relationship with Kristen in the past, Twihards just can’t seem to let go.

Rob and Kristen’s split caused double the drama for devastated Twilight fans who associated the couple with their characters, Edward and Bella, and thought they would be together forever. Rob recently opened up about his on- and off-screen relationship with Kristen to Germany’s Interview magazine, according to ROBsessed.
When the mag asked Rob if he thought media coverage of his relationship with K-Stew would have been just as “hysterical” if the two hadn’t shared a passionate romance in the Twilight saga, he replied, ”It's impossible to give a smart answer to that. One thing can't be separated from the other.”
Rob has a point. We have all witnessed the phenomenal chemistry between R-Patz and K-Stew on the big screen and while they were, of course, acting, their love was real. In a way, Twilight fans watched Kristen and Rob’s love blossom in the theaters, so it’s no wonder they are so invested in the couple’s real-life relationship.
Sadly, things didn’t work out between Rob and Kristen — but we’ll always have Edward and Bella!
Robert Pattinson Doesn’t Want To Be Known For Dating Kristen Stewart
Rob has a lot to offer, so we can understand why he wants to leave his Twilight past behind him and move on both personally and professionally. Did you know he is set to become a musician? A source close to actor — and now singer — revealed EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com that Rob is putting acting on the back burner in order to focus on music.
"Rob's number one priority right now is his career, in particular music," our source revealed. "He's heavily invested in his music career and it will only be a matter of time that he has a number one hit on his hands. He's that talented and that passionate about making this happen. Rob is a very humble, deep, thoughtful person and music is his way of expressing his authentic self."
So what inspired this change of focus? Rob is desperate to be known for more than his relationship with Kristen and he wants to be remembered for something other than playing Edward Cullen.
"It's very important to him that he not be defined by the Twilight movies, or his relationship with Kristen," the source says.
