Zayn Malik, 20, can’t wait to marry Perrie Edwards, 20. The One Direction star sat down with Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie on Aug. 23 and talked about his love for Perrie and their wedding plans! Zayn Malik — ‘I’m Engaged & Really Happy’ Savannah asked Zayn how he feels being engaged and he said this while blushing: “There’s not much to say … we are engaged, really happy.” Then Matt asked if wedding plans are underway and he responded: “No plans yet!” The happy couple revealed their engagement at the This Is Us movie premiere in London on Aug. 21 and Zayn couldn’t stop gushing about the engagement. He told Capital FM: “Yeah, yeah, we’re really happy.” Perrie’s Mom ‘Over The Moon’ With Excitement About The Engagement We told you that Debbie Edwards couldn’t contain her excitement when talking with the Dorset Echo newspaper about he daughter marrying the One Direction star. "It's official. I'm over the moon. They are really in love," she said. “It's wonderful because Zayn is absolutely gorgeous. It's true they got engaged on Sunday and it's absolutely lovely. Perrie loves him to pieces and it's perfect. They get on so well together and understand each other. It's just fabulous." But most importantly, the bride-to-be, Perrie, was just recently telling Twist magazine how amazing things have been going in her relationship with Zayn. Zayn is so lovely. You know things are good when you can't wait to see the other person. It's a sense of friendship. The main thing I looked for is if he's fun to be around, if I can have a laugh with him.
