On the last episode before the summer finale, another enemy was revealed — and it’s someone we already know!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: No good can possibly come from line dancing! The residents of Rosewood learned this first-hand on the Aug. 20 episode of Pretty Little Liars, as Red Coat haunted the school’s hoedown and had everyone shaking in their cowboy boots. Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) were eventually able to track down the garment, but sadly, its owner was long gone. … And who is that owner?

Why, none other than CeCe Drake (Vanessa Ray)! I guess I shouldn’t have been too shocked by this revelation, but I’ll admit to getting chills when the camera panned away from her, revealing the red coat waiting patiently beside her on a chair. We also saw CeCe spying on Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding) at the end of the episode, which was super creepy.

She may look like Ke$ha, queen of the unicorns, but make no mistake — CeCe Drake is a shady lady.

The New Caleb?

Speaking of shady characters, Hanna (Ashley Benson) got weirdly cozy with a dude named Travis, whose family owns the towing company that was called to pull Wilden’s car out of the lake. “A” slipped him a butt-load of cash to keep quiet about seeing a blonde running through the woods that night, which he, in turn, gave to Hanna to help her mom.

Travis may be easy on the eyes, but I really hope he’s not being introduced as a subtle replacement for Caleb (Tyler Blackburn), who only has one more episode before he heads to Ravenswood for good. No one can replace that majestic head of hair; Hanna needs to become a nun and never make eye contact with another boy for as long as she lives.

#AriaProblems

In slightly less dramatic news, Jake (Ryan Guzman) and Ezra finally came face-to-handsome-face this week, and their interaction was… oddly pleasant. No fists were thrown, no icy glares were exchanged. There was, however, an unspoken hair battle between Jake’s short new ‘do and Ezra’s surprising scruff. Both were winners in my book.

As the episode progressed, Jake continued to prove himself to be the perfect human. He bought Aria a pair of bitchin’ cowboy boots, he danced like a damn DWTS pro at the hoedown, and he gave Ezra some real-talk advice about how to not look like such a creeper.

But am I the only one who can’t shake the feeling that there’s more to Jake than we know? On this show, when someone seems too good to be true, they usually are. (Seriously, how the “A” did Jake know Aria’s shoe size?)

Dancing Queens

Lastly, but certainly not least, Emily and Paige (Lindsey Shaw) used the hoedown as an opportunity to rekindle their romance. They’ve been going through a rough patch lately, and a nice slow dance was just what the doctor ordered.

Can you believe it? An actual happy couple. On this show! Surely, something horrible is going to happen to them very soon.

HollywoodLifers, what did you think of this week’s episode? Are you as worried about Jake as I am? And what are your predictions about next week’s finale? Drop a comment with your theories and reviews!
