HollywoodLife.com received this statement from Denny’s rep: “Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) driver Denny Hamlin suffered a L1 Compression Fracture following an accident on the final lap of Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway. Hamlin hopes to be released today to fly to his home in North Carolina where he will be evaluated by Dr. Jerry Petty of Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates later this week.”
Denny’s Scary Accident
Denny slammed head-first into a concrete wall, after racer Joey Logano brushed into his, causing them to both spin out. Denny’s car went into the raceway wall, wrecked his car and it collapsed to the ground.
Tony Stewart, a fellow racer was furious that Joey caused the accident saying: “It's time he learns a lesson. He's nothing but a little rich kid that's never had to work in his life. He probably shouldn't have done what he did last week, so that's what he gets
