Tiger cruised at the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Mar. 25, winning the tournament and reclaiming golf’s number one ranking.
Tiger Woods finished two strokes ahead of the field on Mar. 25, winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill and grabbing golf’s top ranking in the process. It’s his second win in as many weeks!
Tiger Woods Wins At Bay Hill
After shooting six under par to gain the lead on Saturday, Mar. 23, Tiger didn’t look back. And despite a severe thunderstorm that suspended the final round on Sunday, Tiger got right back to business on Monday, shooting a 70 and blowing away the competition.
The win at Bay Hill is Tiger’s third win this year, an amazing number considering the season has just started and Tiger has only played in five events. Even more amazing, the win is the 77th of his career. He is now just six wins away from becoming the winningest golfer in history.
Tiger’s amazing start to this season has been good enough to elevate him to golf’s number one ranking. It is the first time he’s been ranked number one since October 2010 — considering how competitive Tiger is, he must be pumped to be back on top.
Lindsey Vonn Rejuvenates Tiger Woods’ Career
If he has anyone to thank for his resurgence, it has to be girlfriend Lindsey Vonn. Just one week ago on Mar. 18, the two admitted that they had been dating for a few months in posts on their Facebooks.
Lindsey seems to have reenergized Tiger and given him back the superior confidence he had before his very public divorce and cheating scandal.
With Lindsey supporting him, Tiger looks more focused than ever. If he went on to win every tournament he plays in this year we would not be surprised. All this time everyone thought he needed to fix his swing — turns out he just needed love!
