The ‘Scandal’ star exuded glamour on the red carpet in a strapless gown — do you love her latest look?

Between awards season and promoting Django Unchained, the 36-year-old actress really caught our eye on the red carpet in a slew of versatile styles — and it looks like she’s continuing her stellar style run! Kerry Washington stepped out on Mar. 23 at the JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE for the 2013 Human Rights Campaign Los Angeles Gala, where she stunned in a Jason Wu gown.

The strapless dress had a satin bustier with contrasting white stitching and a sweetheart neckline that put Kerry’s assets on full display. The bustier gave way to a full, layered organza skirt. Kerry completed the ensemble, pairing her frock with a black Bottega Veneta box clutch, a matching headband and a Monique Pean walnut fossilized walrus ivory rectangular ring with a white diamond pavé.

I love the way the headband kept Kerry’s hair back, keeping the focus on her bare shoulders and the sweetheart neckline — and this wasn’t the first time the star sported a hair accessory on the red carpet! For the Django Unchained Berlin photocall, the star sported the very popular checkered print from Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2013 collection — but the best part about the look was definitely the matching bow headband! It added such a flirty vibe to the chic shift dress.

While a black dress can sometimes seem like a safe choice on the red carpet, since Kerry is always one to break out bright colors and interesting silhouettes this feminine choice was just as refreshing. I love how her style is still so unpredictable but always so spot-on. Do you agree?

Personally I loved the way the fitted bustier gave way to the full skirt. It was a fantastic contrast, blending sexy and sweet in such an ethereal way — and Kerry’s figure looked fantastic in the ensemble!

What do you think? Did you like the black gown or do you wish Kerry continued to show off bright colors and pretty patterns?
