Pay close attention to the new season of The Voice, because Usher is hoping to discover the next Justin Bieber. Do you think it’s possible?
Hoda Kotb asked Usher how difficult it is to persuade singers to join his team.
“It’s ultimately your passion. [The contestants] wanna know they’re getting a coach that’s gonna fight for them. I don’t play the Justin Bieber card often. I had to pull it out maybe once. When you’re looking for talent that could be like [Justin Bieber] or greater, for me I take it seriously. Of course winning The Voice is ultimately the goal of the show. But really preparing incredible entertainers is really what I’m all about. Really artist development,” Usher told Kathie Lee and Hoda on the Today show on March 25.
Usher Signed Justin Bieber In 2008
Usher signed Justin Bieber to Raymond Braun Media Group, a joint venture between Usher and Justin’s current manager Scooter Braun, in 2008. He has since become a global superstar. Usher is clearly hoping to recreate that success with the season four winner of The Voice.
