The nation remains glued to their TV sets hoping for updates on the manhunt of Boston Marathon bombers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, and that includes celebrities. Keep reading to see what the stars are saying about this awful, sensational story.

Boston Police, who shot and killed Tamerlan Tsarnaev in a shootout early in the morning on April 19, are reportedly closing in on the remaining brother who helped bomb the finish line of the Boston Marathon, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. While this unfathomable story unfolds, celebrities are taking to Twitter to express their shock and astonishment.

Chris Brown, Alec Baldwin & More: Celebs React To Boston Manhunt

The always outspoken Alec Baldwin used the story as an opportunity to speak about out against terrorism and how it affects our lives and freedom:

The effects of terrorism on our society will get worse before [they] get better. The presence of police as a paramilitary force in our society will now grow to new levels. Cameras, bomb-sniffing dogs, checkpoints, etc, will expand exponentially the notion that someone capable of brutal, cold-blooded and random killing walks openly in public will further shape our lives. [The] cost of security measures will skyrocket. Further diverting funds meant for other, equally important goals, in American society. Tweeting a simple observation re our society always yields 1 benefit. I can block all right-wing idiots that come out of their foxholes. The bravery and effectiveness of police is a blessing. Their presence is welcome, in times like these. Yet it highlights something.

Other celebrities have also been reacting to these shocking events. Chris Brown tweeted, “You are not powerless. The #heart responds to suffering with love. Please send your #love to Boston and Texas,” referring also to the horrible explosion in West, Texas on April 18.

Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun tweeted, “waking up & turning on the tv to see this madness in Boston. myself & @hoogs are sitting here praying for everyone's safety. #prayforboston.”

Shonda Rimes sent out the message, “Truly, I have no words for what is going on, has been going on, in Boston.”

Eliza Dushku Tweets Support To Her Hometown

And Eliza Dushku, who is from Watertown, Mass. — the town where Tamerlan was gunned down and where Dzhokhar is now suspected to be hiding — could hardly contain her emotions:

It doesn't get closer to home than this. #Watertown, MA~ #hometown God, please, everyone be safe. #Waterdown PD we are all sending you prayer… Born&raised in #Watertown. My beautiful fam is there, 20 search blocks/CNN in exact neighborhood I grew up in, Ma's house-can't believe this…Finally reached my Ma & Jim & they are fine & now staying indoors & turning on news.. Love to all- x… My parents are being morning greeted by SWAT, friends have bullet holes thru their walls, grenades in front of houses #surreal #Watertown

Our thoughts are also with the residents of Watertown, and the Boston police as they risk their lives to catch Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
