Kris, now you can move on with your life, focus on your NBA Playoff game tomorrow night, April 20, when you face off against the Chicago Bulls in Brooklyn, and you will never have to think about divorce lawyers and fighting with Kim again.
You can put your unhappy marriage to Kim totally in your rear view mirror and that is far healthier than putting yourself and Kim through an unpleasant and public court battle.
I completely understand how devastated you felt when Kim blindsided you with divorce papers after 72 days of marriage on Oct 31, 2011.
You didn’t realize how unhappy Kim felt and yes it was wrong of her not to share her feelings with you. If she had opened up to you once she realized that the marriage was a mistake for her – you never would have felt like she had purposely tricked you into a fraudulent marriage.
I’m sure in retrospective, she wishes that she had been more honest with you. At the time, maybe she just was so disappointed in herself for having made a marital mistake, that she couldn’t own up honestly to you, so she took the drastic step of surprising you with divorce papers.
In any case, she couldn’t stay in a marriage that she knew was wrong for her, and you were left feeling used.
But now, a year and a half after she left you, you’ve made the right move by agreeing to a divorce, instead of insisting on an annulment.
And Kim has also done the right thing by agreeing to pay her own legal fees, according to TMZ, and by also asking the judge not to financially penalize you for not showing up in court on April 12.
Kim Kardashian: Will She and Kanye West Marry Now?
Kim clearly isn’t motivated by revenge over this long drawn-out divorce battle. She just is thrilled to be a free woman.
The big question now is – will Kim and Kanye West marry before their baby is born?
Hopefully, by the time Kim gives birth in June or July, Kris, you’ll even feel enough good will towards her, to wish her well.
In any case, Kris, you should feel good about yourself for settling your divorce. One day, you will find the real woman of your dreams and have a wonderful marriage that will last the rest of your life.
