Many people who once knew Aaron Hernandez, 23, are shocked that he was charged with the murder of Odin Lloyd. The former New England Patriots tight end, who was arrested on June 26, was “well liked” and was so dedicated to football while he studied at the University of Florida, a staff member EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com.
Aaron Hernandez College Careet — He Was A Nice, Respectful Kid
Aaron was arrested for allegedly killing Odin, a 27-year-old former semi-pro football player. Odin, Aaron’s friend, was found dead on June 17 in North Attleborough, Massachusetts.
While studying at the University, Aaron played for the Gators, and he was a really nice and hardworking kid apparently.
A member of the University of Florida’s staff expressed shock and sadness telling HollywoodLife.com exclusively:
I knew Aaron when he played here and I never, ever saw this coming. All these stories about what a troublemaker he was are simply not accurate. He was incredibly dedicated to the game and to the team and immensely hardworking. He was serious about his faith too, he read the Bible every morning, especially before games.
This is quite surprising, considering the charges that Aaron faces. The source continues that Aaron was not even an angry kid, even though he was faced with the loss his father.
I know that Aaron was struggling with some heavy stuff emotionally while he was here — his dad died a year before he started with us and that was obviously still weighing heavily on him. But it wasn’t like he was walking around angry all the time causing trouble. He put that energy into the game, he practiced hard and played hard and was well liked. He was someone the organization was very proud of. This is a huge, huge shock.
This is so revealing. Aaron certainly does not sound like a person who is capable of the crime he is currently accused of, but it is still highly unclear of what happened.
Odin Lloyd Murder — Aaron Hernandez Arrested As Suspect
Aaron was arrested for the murder one week after Odin was found dead in an industrial park a mile from Aaron’s house. Odin had been shot five times with a .45 caliber semi automatic weapon.
Prosecutors believe that Odin and Aaron were in contact just 10 hours before his death, and that Aaron had motive to kill because he no longer trusted Odin.
Aaron is now being investigated for two more murders, so things have gone from bad to worse for the football star.
