The DA claims that Aaron’s baby mama, Shayanna Jenkins, helped them build their case and bring charges against him in connection with the death of Odin Lloyd, according to a new report.
Aaron Hernandez’s girlfriend, and possible fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins reportedly helped the DA bring charges against the former New England Patriots tight end.
Aaron Hernandez’s Girlfriend Helped Prosecution? — The DA Says Yes, She Did
Shayanna ”assisted prosecutors in preparing their case today [June 26],” the DA said, according to LA Late.
Shayanna’s sister was allegedly dating Odin Lloyd before he was murdered on June 17. She’s reportedly been instrumental in helping put pieces together in this case.
“Prosecutors told the court that they went to speak to Aaron Hernandez's girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins after Odin Lloyd's death. They told the court that Shayanna Jenkins was initially very cooperative. But allegedly thereafter, allegedly upon Hernandez's invention, she became less cooperative,” LA Late reports.
It’s unclear what Shayanna knows about the murder or if she knows where her boyfriend was on the night of the murder.
Aaron Hernandez Charged With Murder
The prosecution gathered quite a bit of evidence before charging Aaron with murder on June 26 in connection with the death of Odin Lloyd. Aaron was also charged with 1 count of carrying a gun without a license, 2 counts of possession of a large firearm, and 2 counts of firearm possession.
Aaron’s girlfriend was present in court, when Aaron was charged. Before he was taken away into custody, Aaron nodded in her direction and appeared to blow her a kiss.
The couple has one newborn daughter together.
