Ian gets back to nature in a (literally) dirty new spread for ‘Condé Nast Traveler.’
Ian Somerhalder is a rarity in Hollywood these days. It isn’t enough for The Vampire Diaries star to simply look good all the time — though he does, and he does it very well. It’s also important for him to do good at the same time, and that’s why he’s being honored as one of eight “remarkable global citizens” in the latest issue of Condé Nast Traveler.
HollywoodLife.com has honored Ian countless times as one of the hottest actors on television, but the magazine is choosing to honor him for his global efforts. The write-up cites how Ian uses social media — specifically Twitter, on which he has more than 4 million followers — to raise awareness of important global issues, connect people to worthy charities and generally remind people that there’s more to life than lusting after bloodsuckers. (Though that is still a very important part.)
But the best part about Ian’s inclusion in the magazine is that all the photos were taken in his hometown of Lacombe, La. So if you’re wondering why Ian looks so comfortable hosing off this dirt bike, it’s because he’s literally at home.
