Her ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ and neither do those abs! The spicy songstress shows off her post-baby body on the September cover of ‘SELF’ magazine — and we’d be impressed with those abs even if she hadn’t just given birth in January!

Shakira is one hot mama! She welcomed her baby boy Milan earlier this year and she’s already baring her belly on the cover of a fitness mag. That’s some serious dedication! In the September issue of SELF, Shakira reveals exactly how she got back into shape after the baby — and explains how she got her sassy confidence!

Shakira’s Abs After Baby — Singer Shows Post-Baby Body On ‘SELF’ Magazine Cover

Okay, so Shakira’s known for her ripped abs, but it wasn’t long ago that she was worrying she “wouldn’t ever be sexy again” after her pregnancy. Her fears were clearly for naught, because with a little hard work, her body was kicked into shape within the year!

Of course, Shakira didn’t snap back to her old self that instantly. ”After the delivery, you look like a shar-pei!” she playfully admitted to the mag, though we doubt the sexy lady could ever look like the wrinkled pup!

Shakira’s Workout Routine — Singer Shares Post-Baby Weight Loss Regimen

The key to Shakira’s figure was an appropriate amount of fitness during and after pregnancy! ”I did Zumba throughout my pregnancy,” Shakira told the mag “That helped me not gain too much weight.” To tone up after the baby, “she did Zumba four to five mornings a week and even trained privately with its creator and CEO, Beto Perez, for a week,” reports SELF. She also loves a challenge and pushing herself to the limit. ”Two minutes of ab work isn’t enough,” she explained in the magazine. Darn.

While Shakira certainly looks the picture of perfection, her attitude goes a long way to helping her achieve her goals. ”I don’t obsess over my flaws, because I see my body as a whole,” Shakira says in the mag. “Besides, I think men appreciate confidence more than perfection.” We love that attitude!
