Big Sean dropped a brand new song on Aug. 12 that is sending major shockwaves through the rap world! On the track Kendrick calls out some of the biggest names in rap like: Drake, Wale and A$AP Rocky — take a listen and tell us what you think!
Big Sean, 25, took to Twitter to release his latest single, “Control” to his over 4 million Twitter followers which features 26-year-old rapper Kendrick Lamar. The over seven minute song, which did not make it on to his upcoming album Hall of Fame, is causing quite the stir over one of Kendrick’s verses where he says he’s the “king of New York” and he’s trying to steal fans away from the biggest names in the rap community.
Kendrick Lamar Causes Drama With Verse On Big Sean’s New Song ‘Control’
Kendrick, who was dubbed “Hottest MC” by MTV in 2012, doesn’t hold back on the track. His controversial verse gets pretty intense:
“I’m usually homeboys with the same n****s i’m rhymin wit/But this is hip hop and them n****s should know what time it is/And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Wale, Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electron‘, Tyler, Mac Miller/I got love for you all but I’m tryna murder you n****s/Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you n****s.”
He also has a verse that says: “I’m Machiavelli’s offspring, I’m the king of New York/King of the Coast, one hand, I juggle them both.”
So far none of the rappers have taken issue with the song. In fact, Pusha T took to Twitter to write: “I hear u loud and clear my n***a… @kendricklamar.”
Big Sean’s new album Hall of Fame is expected to drop on Aug. 27, but he explained on Twitter to his fans why this particular song isn’t one of the 15 tracks on there.

Big Sean recently released his new video for “Fire” featuring Miley Cyrus and he also is working on a new song with his girlfriend, Glee star, Naya Rivera. This guy is totally hot right now!
