It’s Kendrick Lamar against… everyone! Find out which rappers are taking him to task for his latest mouth-y verse.
If you’re going to call out your competition in a rap verse — like Kendrick Lamar did on Big Sean‘s just-released track, “Control” — you’d better be ready to take some heat from your targets. Pusha T, Mac Miller and more of the rappers referenced in Kendrick’s rap are responding to his ‘intimidating’ verse on twitter, and they sure don’t sound too scared.
“I hear u loud and clear my n***a… @kendricklamar” Pusha T tweeted at him.
“If I can’t do no more nouns or verbs ima start comin with the wildest adjective bars that anyone has ever heard,” Mac Miller added.
Kendrick Lamar’s Verse: Other Rappers Chime In
Even big names in rap/hip-hop who weren’t mentioned in Kendrick’s rap appear to have something to say about it.
“KENDRICK!!!!!” Diddy tweeted. ”Ohhhh Sh********t”
And in case you’re not sure what Kendrick actually rapped in the first place, here are the lyrics of his verse in question:
I'm usually homeboys with the same ni**as I'm rhymin' with.
But this is hip-hop and them ni**as should know what time it is. And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big K.R.I.T, Wale, Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electron, Tyler, Mac Miller.
I got love for you all, but I'm tryna murder you ni**as.
Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you ni**as.
They don't wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you ni**as.
You know, just casual threats about murdering careers. No big deal.
HollywoodLifers, what’s your take on Kendrick’s angry rap? Is he getting too big for his britches, or does he have every right to call out some of the biggest names in rap? Drop a comment with your thoughts below!
