Kanye is still a fan of Barack Obama, but he’s offended by the rude remarks the president made about Kanye and his baby mama, Kim Kardashian. Want to know how Yeezy is really feeling after the diss? Read on for all the EXCLUSIVE details!
Kanye West is not cool with being disrespected — even by the most powerful man in the world! After President Barack Obama called out Kanye and Kim Kardashian while discussing the public's obsession with celebrity in an interview with Amazon Kindle Singles, Kayne says he can’t believe the president is taking shots at him, HollywoodLife.com is EXCLUSIVELY reporting.
Kanye West On President Obama’s Comments About Him & Kim Kardashian — Whoa
Kayne was pretty surprised to hear Barack diss him and Kim — especially because they’re both Obama supporters.
“Kanye heard what the president said and he wasn’t too thrilled about it,” a source close to the “New Slaves” rapper tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He was just like, ‘Whoa, even Obama taking shots at me.’”
While Kanye, 36, and Kim, 32, both “like and respect” Barack, the couple believes the president’s comments were insensitive and without merit — and they’re not about to let his diss affect their lives.
“Ain’t like what Obama said is going to change anything,” the source continues. “It ain’t going to change how he and Kim live their lives. It’s not about to change how much money they make. It’s not going to change anything, not even how the fans think.”
Why Kanye West Thinks He And Obama Are ‘Alike’
Kanye says he and President Obama actually have one thing in common — they are both trying to make history.
“Everybody know Kanye don’t care s**t about being famous — he hates it,” the source says. “All he’s trying to do is inspire people through his music and go down in history as one of the greatest artist who ever held the mic. Same as Obama is trying to do as president — leave a legacy behind.”
President Obama Slams Kanye West & Kim Kardashian
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Barack slammed Kimye in an interview with Amazon Kindle Singles, saying young Americans should not aspire to be like them.
In the interview that is now making headlines around the world, Barack says the American Dream isn't what it used to be — and the public's growing interest in Hollywood’s celebrity culture is partially to blame.
I do think what's shifted is a notion that the wealthier you are, the more conspicuous consumption you engage in. The more successful you are, the more society should stay out of your way as you pursue the bigger house or the fancier jet or the bigger yacht. Were there things that all of us might have liked to have? Sure. But partly, I think, there also has been a shift in culture. There was not that window into the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Kids weren't monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing, or where Kanye West was going on vacation, and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success.
Now it’s your turn to sound off, HollywoodLifers! Whose side are you on? Team Kimye or Team Obama?
