If you were going into royal baby withdrawal, you’ll love to hear that another royal bundle of joy will be here soon! The Swedish palace announced that Princess Madeleine is expecting her first child, due in 2014. So exciting!

Another royal baby is on its way! Sweden’s gorgeous Princess Madeleine is expecting her first child with her New York banker husband Christopher O’Neill. The pair married earlier this summer on June 8, 2013. The couple is now expecting their first royal baby!

Sweden’s Princess Madeleine Pregnant — Expecting First Royal Baby

Sweden’s royal family is growing a little bit more! Madeleine, 31, is expecting her first child this March, the palace announced on Sept. 3.

Madeleine and Christopher, 38, married in her native Stockholm, Sweden on June 8, 2013, but live in New York City. The pregnancy announcement comes about 12 weeks after their beautiful wedding.

The palace revealed that Madeleine’s pregnancy will not affect her fall schedule, or her work for the World Childhood Foundation, a nonprofit she works closely with, founded by her mother, Queen Silvia.

Royal Baby Watch: Sweden Edition

Madeleine’s older sister, Crown Princess Victoria, is heir to the Swedish throne. Victoria’s 1-year-old daughter, Princess Estelle, is now second in line to the throne, followed by her uncle Prince Carl Philip and aunt Madeline!

If you’re not well versed in your Swedish monarchy history, here’s all you need to know: Sweden has a constitutional monarchy and the royals are primarily figureheads. Madeleine’s dad King Carl XVI Gustaf is the country’s head of state, and his powers are limited to representative and ceremonial duties. In 1980, the Sweden implemented the policy that the first born heir — regardless of gender — would inherit the throne.

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Are you excited that there’s another royal baby to watch out for?
