This beauty battle is taking place in quite the exotic locale! Ashley Greene and Vanessa Hudgens were at the Oakley Pro for Oakley's Learn To Ride: SURF in Bali, Indonesia on June 18 where the actresses learned how to surf the Indonesian waves from Oakley pro surfers. While they may have been in the same place, the two had totally different interpretations of bohemian beauty. Ashley’s look was subtle, while Vanessa’s was a perfect replica of the 1970′s. Ashley hit the red carpet with lovely, understated hair and makeup. Her skin was virtually bare with just the hint of a tan (ah, the perks of being in Bali!). Her dark brows framed her face, as she wore no real eye makeup besides mascara. Her lips were a light berry shade. She wore her hair in a relaxed updo with a funky and delicate floral headband.
Vanessa’s look was a bit more dramatic. She also wore very little face makeup but layered on bronzer. Her eyes were accented with black liner on her water line. Her lips wore a sheer, glossy pink. Vanessa’s hair was loose and wavy and she pulled it back into a causal half updo, and let the front layers of her hair fall to frame her face.

Ashley and Vanessa extended their beauty philosophies into their outfits! Ashley’s dress, much like her makeup, was simple and understand. She wore a bright yellow mini shift dress with flat leather sandals.
Vanessa, on the other hand, was the definition of hippie. She wore a paisley printed jumpsuit with platform leather sandals. She accessorized her outfit with gold jewelry and wooden beads.
