Sources close to the reality star tell People magazine the dangerous health complications that forced her into early delivery.
Kim Kardashian’s Early Delivery: Pregnancy Complications Revealed
Kim was rushed to the hospital on June 14 for pregnancy complications, according to People magazine, and delivered her baby on June 15 — earlier than expected. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star was experiencing severe swelling, which can be a sign of the potentially dangerous condition called preeclampsia.
Although preeclampsia, which is pregnancy-induced high blood pressure, is fairly common in pregnant woman, it can also be extremely dangerous. The condition can lead to a stroke, and doctors will recommend the baby be born early to prevent any future complications.
Kim Kardashian: How She Handled Her Pregnancy Complications
Although the pregnancy complications would have been emotionally taxing on anyone, those closest to her reveal how well Kim handled everything.
“I don’t think she was scared. She was just ready,” a friend of Kim’s tells People magazine.
“This was a lot to go through,” pal Robin Antin added. “I’m sure she was exhausted, but she handled it like a pro.”
Luckily, insiders say Kim and her baby were both totally healthy and doing well by June 17, two days after her baby girl was born.
