Cher was just supposed to be a guest performer on the June 18 season finale of The Voice last night, but her hair ended up stealing the show! Cher was wearing crazy colors and rocking some heavy styling in order to create her totally distinctive look. How do you feel about it? Sound off!
Cher’s Hair On ‘The Voice’ — Love Or Loathe?
The veteran performer and all around icon took the the stage of The Voice season finale to perform her new single Woman’s World off her upcoming album, and her hair was absolutely wild. We have a feeling that a lot of you may not exactly be loving this look, but you have to give Cher kudos for being able to pull it off!
Cher’s hair was multi-colored, mostly black with streaks of light purple and white throughout. The styling, though, was what we found most intriguing. Her hair was heavily feathered, with the top half being molded into something of a faux-hawk. The bottom half of her hair — which was white and black striped — was straightened and left to hang loose from the rest of her curled and styled hair.
Ironically, Cher’s makeup was actually pretty low key. She opted for a bronze cheek, medium brown eyeshadow, and a neutral mauve lip.
When asked by reporters backstage about how she creates an iconic look, Cher responded to HollywoodLife.com: ”I just had an idea and this is retro, I like to go back and see myself over the decades!”
