‘The Newsroom’ star Alison looked amazing at the season 2 premiere party for the HBO show at The Paramount Studios in Hollywood, Calif. on July 10. We got a hairstylist to comment on the look so you can get it at home!
Alison Pill looked stunning rocking a slightly purple smokey eye, pink blush and sheer gloss at The Newsroom season 2 premiere red carpet, but we loved her hair above all else! Stylist Laura Hernandez from Assembly Salon in L.A. spoke to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY, explaining how YOU can get her look!
Alison Pill From ‘Newsroom’ Wears Braids — The Perfect Summer Hairsyle
Check out these top tips from Laura:
•Prepare hair with Kevin Murphy’s Easy Rider. Rub the product between your hands and then through the hair. This will smooth out frizz and give the hair the best grip to braid.
•For this look, if you have straight or wavy hair, it is best to braid dry. If you have curly hair, it is best to braid the hair wet.
•Part your hair starting right where the arch of your brow is on the left side.
•Start braid on the right.
•Starting at the part, create a small rectangular piece and separate into three pieces.
•Cross the rightmost over the center then add some hair to what used to be the the rightmost strand (now center).
•From the right side, cross the left most over the center then and some hair to what used to be the leftmost strand (now center).
•Continue braiding until you reach right behind your ear secure with an elastic.
•Braid the other side using the same technique — continue until you go behind the ear and secure with an elastic.
•To finish the look, secure the braid with bobby pins, if necessary.
•Spray with Kevin Murphy’s Hair Resort Spray to give your hair beachy waves and hold your braid.
