As the world continues to grieve the tragic death of ‘Glee’ star Cory Monteith, friends, fans and family created a memorial outside the Vancouver hotel where he died.
Cory Monteith‘s untimely death on July 13 shocked everyone — his fans, family, friends and castmates. In honor of the Glee star, a memorial led by Cory’s heartbroken cousin formed outside the hotel in Canada where the actor’s body was found.

Cory was in Vancouver visiting friends the weekend of his death. The 31-year-old actor was found dead in his Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel room on July 13 after failing to check out on time. Local police say the cause of death is still unknown, and an autopsy is scheduled for July 15.
Cory’s family members are understandably beside themselves with grief over the actor’s sudden death. His cousin, Richard Monteith, tearfully laid flowers outside the Vancouver hotel where Cory was found, the UK’s Daily Mail reported.
His cousin looked absolutely grief-stricken as he paused before the growing memorial outside the hotel.
Cory Monteith Death: ’Glee’ Co-Stars Pay Tribute & Grieve The Actor
Cory’s Glee co-stars are heartbroken over his death. Just a few weeks ago, the actor looked happy with his fellow co-stars in one of the first photo shoots for the fifth season of the show.
Matthew Morrison, who plays the leader of New Directions on Glee, paid tribute to Cory at his concert in New York City on July 14. Matthew addressed the news to his fans, saying, "Yesterday we lost a great soul, and a brother of mine," an eyewitness told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
Cory’s other Glee co-stars took to Twitter to vocalize their sadness and disbelief. Harry Shum, Jr., who plays Mike Chang on Glee, said, "At this time, please send nothing but love and light. This tragic news still doesn't feel real to me." Dot Marie Jones, who plays Coach Beiste on the show, was particularly stricken over Cory’s death.
“I HAVE NO WORDS! MY HEART IS BROKEN CORY WAS NOT ONLY A HELL OF A FRIEND HE WAS ONE AMAZING MEN THAT I WILL HOLD CLOSE TO MY HEART FOREVER.”
The news is still tough to comprehend. Cory was only 31 and his talent was truly one of a kind. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and co-stars.
