OWN will air Lindsay’s new show, as well as the first post-rehab interview with the troubled starlet.
Don’t call it a comeback; call it a show about a comeback! Lindsay Lohan, 27, is set to star in an 8-episode miniseries documenting her attempt to repair her public image and gain new respect in Hollywood. The series, which has yet to be titled, is scheduled to air sometime in 2014.
In the meantime, Oprah will also conduct a sit-down interview with Lindsay, following the completion of her current 90-day stay in rehab. Set to be filmed in August, it will be Lindsay’s first — and possibly only – post-rehab interview.
A spokesperson for OWN confirmed the news to Entertainment Weekly:
OWN will air an exclusive interview with Oprah and Lindsay Lohan that will tape and air in August and an eight-part documentary series with Lindsay for 2014.
Lindsay Lohan’s Comeback
Despite the many personal demons plaguing Lindsay, she has managed to keep a fairly steady flow of work in recent years.
In 2012, she portrayed Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime original movie Liz & Dick, after making a highly anticipated cameo on Glee. She followed those gigs up in 2013 with roles in InAPPropriate Comedy and Scary Movie 5, as well as a guest spot on Charlie Sheen‘s FX sitcom Anger Management.
Lindsay will next be seen Aug 2. in The Canyons, in which she plays Tara, a young actress seduced by the many temptations of Los Angeles. Her new movie co-stars porn icon James Deen, Awkward actor Nolan Funk and is directed by Paul Schrader.
