Another week, another round of quarter-finalists competing for only four spots in the ‘America’s Got Talent’ semi-finals. Did your favorites get another week, or did they get cut?

America’s Got Talent continued to make headway toward the semi-finals with another round of cuts on the Aug. 14 episode. There were some no-brainers and some shockers, but we wouldn’t expect anything less from this hit show. The Backstreet Boys also stopped by to give a heart-stopping performance of their new single “In A World Like This,” as well as the epic throwback “I Want It That Way.”

‘America’s Got Talent’: Aug. 14 Results

The first group up for elimination included daredevil David Ferman, kid rockers The Robotix, the dance group SensEtion, and Tummy Talk. While we loved David’s death-defying act, it wasn’t enough to put him through to the next round. But David shouldn’t feel too bad; no one else from his group made it through, either. Group hug!

Next up was 3Penny Chorus and Orchestra and singer Cami Bradley. This was the absolute no-brainer of the night, as Cami flew past 3Penny and took her rightful place in the semi-finals.

The family unicyclists Champions Forever, country crooner Jimmy Rose, and ice-skating group Aerial Ice made up the third group. We loved Jimmy and Aerial Ice’s performances last night, so this one was tough — and America decided to back the war vet, keeping Jimmy around.

OK, this is where things got intense: The final group consisted of the amazing acrobat Timber Brown, southern singing cutie Chloe Channell, and comedian Taylor Williamson. They were all so good in their performances, but with only two spots left, who would be cut?

Timber was quickly sent through to the semi-finals, leaving only Chloe and Taylor. Back to the judges… Heidi Klum chose Chloe, while Howie Mandel went with Taylor. A tie. This solved nothing. Next to vote was Howard Stern, who went with Taylor. And the final vote was Mel B‘s – and she chose Chloe!

The all-tied-up decision was then sent back to the votes, and America chose…Taylor Williamson!

(Sorry, Chloe!)
