'Bachelor' Star Gia Allemand: Her Boyfriend Won't Leave Her Side Aug 14th 2013, 18:04, by Eleanore Hutch Gia is fighting for her life in New Orleans hospital, but she is not alone. ‘The Bachelor’ star is said to have little pulse and be barely breathing, and her loyal boyfriend Ryan Anderson refuses to leave her side. Gia Allemand, star of The Bachelor and Bachelor Pad, was hospitalized late on August 12 due to a mystery emergency, and she remains in critical condition. Her boyfriend, NBA player Ryan Anderson of the New Orleans Pelicans, won’t leave her side during in this “tough situation.” Gia Allemand — Ryan Anderson Is By Her Side Gia, 29, was taken to New Orleans’ University Hospital “following a serious emergency medical event,” said ABC in a statement. “Ryan is with her now at the hospital. It’s a tough situation for everybody to deal with and it was definitely unexpected,” a source at the New Orleans Pelicans told MailOnline. “We don’t know what exactly happened and we are hoping to speak to her doctors to find out.” Poor Ryan. It must be so hard seeing Gia in the ICU, and not knowing what will happen to her. While Ryan is clearly torn up, he is not the only man who is devastated over Gia’s illness. Jake Pavelka, who’s heart she competed for on the 14th season of The Bachelor, had some very sweet words to say about his ex. ‘Bachelor’ Stars React To News “Please pray for @GiaAllemand… A dear friend and one of the sweetest women I know… #powerofprayer,” tweeted Jake. How sweet. Gia’s former love rivals Vienna Girardi and Ali Fedotowsky also sent their prayers. Show winner Vienna wrote “Please keep @GiaAllemand in your prayers. I do not know details but she is in the icu. Stay strong and I love you. xo,” while her fellow runner up Ali tweeted “Please keep @GiaAllemand in your thoughts today. She’s in critical condition.
