The “Not Afraid” rapper, who is set to release his highly anticipated eighth studio album later this year, already has a captive audience for his new track in “Call of Duty” gamers.
Eminem adopts his usual mad-at-the-world tone for the song, which fits in just fine with the violent military game. Em snarls in the intimidating second verse:
So you’d better trade your f***in’ mics in for some toolboxes
Cause you’ll never take my pride from me
It'll have to be pried from me
So pull out your pliers and your screwdrivers
But I want you to doubt me, I don’t want you to believe
Cause this is something that I must use to succeed.
Singer/songwriter Liz Rodrigues, who collaborated with Eminem on his 2010 album, Recovery, chimes in with the hook:
This is survival of the fittest
This is do or die
This is the winner takes it all
So take it all
Eminem’s latest epic anthem is setting the stage perfectly for his upcoming album! We can’t wait to see what else he has in store for us.
Eminem Delving Into 'Further Territories' For Next Album
After producing the hits "Not Afraid" and "Love the Way You Lie" with Rihanna his album Recovery, Eminem had a lot to live up to. While there is no official release date for the rap superstar’s upcoming album, “an announcement regarding the new album and its first single is expected soon,” according to a press release.
Eminem’s DJ, Alchemist, told MTV's RapFix Live how the rapper is going to continue setting the bar high for himself.
"That's my boss," Alchemist told the show. "I DJ for him and I'm not at liberty to speak on much, but you know his caliber and what he does. Clearly going to further territories. I think what you would expect, especially after the last go-round."
Well Eminem is definitely exploring "further territories" by releasing his new track in a video game trailer!
