Rob has been spotted spending time with a bevy of beauties in Los Angeles lately, but Kristen will always be the love of his life. Keep reading to find out why!

Even though Robert Pattinson has made it clear that he wants to move forward by starting a new life without his ex Kristen Stewart, a source close to the Twilght actor says he has always loved Kristen — and he always will. So bittersweet!

Robert Pattinson Still Loves Kristen Stewart — Always Has, Always Will

No one ever forgets their first love, and R-Patz is no exception. Despite their troubled past, Rob has forgiven his ex-girlfriend and Twilight co-star for cheating on him, and he knows he will always remember the good times they shared.

“Rob loves Kristen and always will,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

And now that Rob has had some time to heal, he is remembering all the things he loved about Kristen.

“The thing that Rob loved and admired so much about Kristen is her ability to be absolutely herself and not care what others think. She is fearless, and this is what has always captivated Rob,” the source says. “She always encouraged him to be fearless. To follow his own path. To believe in himself. To take risks. To do something every day that scared him. For quite sometime, Rob blamed himself for the demise of their relationship. But what he has learned is priceless and he is grateful for this. He has no regrets. And yes, he has forgiven Kristen, but more importantly, he has forgiven himself.”

It’s so sad that Rob and Kristen weren’t able to work things out, because Kristen seems to have brought out the best in Rob. Nevertheless, they have obviously had a deep impact on each other’s lives that won’t soon fade. Well, you know what they say — it’s better to have loved and lost!

Kristen Stewart Cheating: Reason Behind The Affair

Rob may have admired Kristen’s courage, but apparently he believes it was fear that drove her to cheat on him.

“Rob is well aware of why Kristen cheated on him,” a friend of Rob’s told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He understands that it wasn’t because of a lack of love. It was more so a fear of intimacy on Kristen’s part. Everyone takes on different experiences from their upbringings.”

Kristen’s parents’ marriage ended when her mother, Jules, filed for divorce in August 2012 — one month after Kristen’s affair was exposed. Could the lack of intimacy in her parents’ marriage have affected Kristen? So much so that she would cheat on Rob? That seems to be one theory that Rob believes.

Now that he has some insight into Kristen’s actions, though, Rob has forgiven her.

“The toughest thing for Rob was the betrayal, and losing his best friend,” says the source.

Luckily, there is hope on the horizon.

“[Rob] will trust again. But right now, a relationship isn’t what he’s looking for,” our source says.

That certainly explains why Rob ended things with Kristen’s friend and former co-star, Riley Keough, whom he was linked to since his split from K-Stew in June.

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Do you ever truly get over an ex who you loved deeply? Will Rob really always love Kristen?
