Naya says she’s taking Demi ‘to the dark side’ when ‘Glee’ returns this fall.
If you’re already excited to see Demi Lovato pal around with Rachel (Lea Michele) and Santana (Naya Rivera) in NYC on the upcoming fifth season of Glee, this latest news should pretty much blow your mind. Demi’s character, Dani, won’t just be Santana’s friend; she’ll apparently be her girlfriend!
“She’s playing my love interest, so I’m very, very excited about that,” Naya revealed to MTV on Aug. 25 at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. “We get to sing a song together. It’s going to be good, I’m excited to work with her.”
Naya said she and Demi will sing a Beatles song together, and that she’s basically ”bringing [Demi] to the dark side.”
We definitely can’t wait to see that!
Naya Rivera: Filming The Cory Monteith Tribute Has Been ‘Horrible.’
Naya also opened up about how difficult it’s been shooting Glee‘s Cory Monteith tribute episode, which is being filmed at the same time as the two Beatles tribute episodes that will kick off the fifth season.
“[It's been] horrible,” Naya told MTV, adding that she has countless fond memories of Cory, and that she “definitely” misses him.
On a lighter note, Naya said she’s been having a blast filming the Beatles episodes.
“It’s awesome,” she said. “We get to sing all of the best Beatles songs.”
