For months and months, Taylor has stressed and feared that she would be painted as a villain in the ‘One Direction: This Is Us’ movie following her breakup from Harry Styles. After attending the premiere, HollywoodLife.com can reveal the truth.
HollywoodLife.com was lucky enough to attend the One Direction: This is Us premiere in New York City on Aug. 26, and we were able to see the greatest movie this year! So we can officially answer the question on everyone’s mind — does Taylor Swift appear and in what capacity? Read on to find out!
Taylor Swift In ‘One Direction: This Is Us’ — Her Role In 1D Movie Revealed
Taylor, 23, does not appear in the movie, at all! Phew!
Following her seriously nasty breakup from Harry Styles, 19, there is not sight nor sound of Taylor in the film. In fact, the movie is really just about the boys — neither Zayn Malik‘s fiance Perrie Edwards or Louis Tomlinson‘s girlfriend Eleanor Calder make an appearance either.
Taylor must be relieved, because she was worried that there would be “jabs” at her, our source reveals:
Taylor is morbidly curious to see the new 1D movie. She just wants to make sure there aren't any little jabs at her. She really likes Harry and thinks he is a fun guy, but he was always a little immature, that's why it didn't work out. She just doesn't want any little jabs from him like the other guys in the band sometimes did. She really hopes that he's not talking anything shady to make her regret their fling.
Taylor’s removal from the film is not surprising, because we previously reported that Harry had all her scenes deleted!
Taylor Swift: Harry Styles Deletes Her From 1D Movie
Harry had all the scenes including him and Taylor be deleted from the One Direction documentary. "He thinks Taylor's being childish," a source revealed. "He really thought that she of all people would value another celebrity's privacy."
Taylor certainly is childish, and she proved that in her epic diss at the Aug. 25 VMAs, when she thanked him for inspiring “I Knew You Were Trouble” during her win.
Taylor Swift Dissed Harry Styles At VMAs
Taylor called out Harry for helping her win the Best Female Video VMA, saying “I also wanna thank the person who inspired this song, who knows exactly who he is, because now I got one of these!” His bandmates looked on with awkward and amused looks on their faces, as they made it clear that they’re on Harry’s side in this situation.
But later that night, Harry and Taylor posed together for a picture with Ed Sheeran and a friend at Robin Thicke‘s after party and Harry said that he later went with Tay for dinner and a mocktail.
Whatever their relationship, he must be so glad he chose to remove her from the film!
