Fresh off her ‘Roar’-ing VMA performance, the songstress stepped out in a green peplum dress that hugged her in all the right places. What did you think of her form-fitting frock?
Katy Perry wowed the crowd at the MTV Video Music Awards in Brooklyn, NY on Aug. 25, when the 28-year-old treated fans to an epic performance of her latest single, “Roar,” under the Brooklyn Bridge — and the star certainly doesn’t have any plans on slowing down! Just days later she was back to flaunting her fantastic figure, but this time she ditched her leopard look for a sleeveless peplum dress while she stepped out to promote her upcoming album, Prism.
Katy Perry’s Peplum Dress On Z100:
Compared to Katy’s VMAs looks she opted for something much more demure when she stepped out for an appearance at Z100 on Aug. 27. Katy’s frock hit right above the knee and while the silhouette had a conservative neckline, the way it clung to her curves was undeniably sexy. A statement necklace added the perfect finishing touches to the ensemble while she wore her hair down and opted for minimal makeup, save for some lipstick and lush lashes.
I really liked Katy’s outfit — until I looked down, that is. I have to be honest, I’m not a fan of white booties — and I especially don’t like them with this look. The shoes gave the get-up such an ’80s vibe and it really took away from the chic factor of the frock. Oh Katy, you aren’t a go-go dancer! Had she opted for a sexy sandal or a pump I would’ve definitely liked this ensemble better, however, the shoe does add a very signature Katy vibe to the outfit.
Aside from my personal opinion regarding white ankle boots, I think the shoe really stunts the star’s leg and takes away from the whole look — not to mention the fact that it really isn’t the most flattering in this instance.
While I really think this frock looks fantastic on Katy, I wish she pulled a shoe swap — but that’s just based on my personal preferences. What do you think? Do you think she made a white hot choice with her ankle boot or do you agree and think the shoe totally threw off the ensemble?
