Move over, Miley Cyrus. Snooki, Amber Riley, Elizabeth Berkley and more are going to try their best to show the racy VMA performer how to truly dance on season 17 of ‘DWTS,’ a source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
While the season 17 cast of Dancing With the Stars won’t officially be revealed until the Sept. 4 episode of Good Morning America, HollywoodLife.com has been clued in on a majority of stars who have signed on. Plus, we know which two celebs producers are predicting will star in the finale.
‘Dancing With The Stars’ Cast — Snooki, Amber Riley & More Join Season 17
Leah Remini, Snooki, Elizabeth Berkley, Christina Millian, Keyshawn Johnson and Amber Riley were first reported to be joining the DWTS by TMZ. However, a source close to production has confirmed this news to HollywoodLife.com, and they’ve also told us why these superstars signed on:
“Amber Riley is doing the show to lose weight, dedicate her season to Cory Monteith and start fresh now that she’s no longer on Glee. This was the next logical move in her eyes. Christina Milian is no longer on The Voice and she’s looking to release more music in the near future, so she wants this to be the stepping stone. Elizabeth is a tremendous dancer and might be the first Saved By The Bell alum to win the show. And if she is paired with Derek [Hough] or Mark [Ballas] it could be automatic.”
Our source also mentions, “Keyshawn might be paired with Karina Smirnoff since she did so well with Jacoby Jones last year.” However, ”nobody will know or be told their pairings until [Aug. 31].”
Elizabeth Berkley Pegged To Win ‘DWTS’
At this point, producers are predicting an Elizabeth/Christina finale. We can certainly see it now — Elizabeth exclaiming, “I’m so excited. I’m so excited,” as she grips the mirror ball trophy.
Jack Osbourne and Valerie Harper, who is suffering from terminal brain cancer and was told she wouldn’t live past June, will reportedly join the cast as well, Star and TMZ both claim.
Other stars who were asked to join the season 17 cast include Farrah Abraham, John Stamos, Paula Deen, Bella Thorne and Seth MacFarlane.
