The amazing young singing trio Identity4Pop performed the national anthem at the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s ‘I Have A Dream’ speech, and they were the best act there! Kennedy, 12, and twins Shelbi and Sydney, both 11, were fantastic!
Identity4Pop, you girls had the best performance at the Let Freedom Ring Ceremony! Your beautiful voices helped commemorate the historical day when Martin Luther King Jr. stood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and delivered his inimitable “I Have a Dream” speech. It took a ton of guts and courage to sing the “The Star-Spangled Banner” in the same spot where Dr. King gave his revered speech. You guys nailed it, though, and totally did the national anthem justice!

Girls, I can’t imagine how excited you must have been to perform in front of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, former President Jimmy Carter, former President Bill Clinton and Oprah. Also, from looking at your Instagram, I see you got to hang out with Jamie Foxx backstage before your performance — bonus! With hundreds of thousands of eyes watching you either on TV or in D.C., the world now knows the names Kennedy, Shelbi and Sydney!
Singing the national anthem is a huge responsibility, and you sang it to perfection! Everyone enjoyed hearing your young, clear voices sing America’s song so well on such a special day.
Girls, you helped define the day with your lovely voices, underscoring the value of Dr. King’s inspirational words. You totally owned this important role in the 50th anniversary of Dr. King’s speech!
The Identity4Pop Girls Are Role Models
The three of you should be proud of setting a terrific example for young girls everywhere. You have shown teens and pre-teens that modesty, age-appropriate beauty and shining talent are always in style.
And your chic, coordinated black and white dresses didn’t hurt either — they were super classy and stylish! Maybe next week we’ll see the First Lady in a black and white shift dress and she’ll have you to thank!
