The star looked red hot for her return to the red carpet at the opening of the Venice Film Festival. Did you love her glam gown as much as we did?
While it has been a while since we’ve seen Sandra Bullock step out on the red carpet she certainly didn’t disappoint when she got glam for the premiere of Gravity at the opening of the 70th Venice International Film Festival on Aug. 28. The 49-year-old stars in the space drama alongside George Clooney — and although she may play an astronaut in the movie she looked like a total screen siren in a red-hot, J. Mendel gown with a high-low hemline.
Sandra Bullock’s ‘Gravity’ Premiere Dress:
Sandra may keep it really casual when she’s dressing down in her everyday life as a multi-tasking mom — but when it comes to getting glam she really knows how to wow us on the red carpet! Her silk wool gazaar gown cinched her in at the waist, revealing her svelte frame, and the strapless bustier was so flattering on her figure. The asymmetrical draping of the frock allowed the star to show off a little leg — and her shoes!
Sandra Bullock’s Venice Film Festival Dress:
On this occasion the star added black accessories to her red gown, rocking a black clutch and a sexy pair of sandals. Her black shoes featured a thick ankle strap. While I wouldn’t necessarily pair this frock with black accessories, (and the shoes are quite dramatic with this dress), I am a major fan of her footwear — and the black accessories work so well next to her co-star, George, in his dapper tuxedo!
When it comes to the glamour, Sandra didn’t stop there. She finished off the red carpet ensemble with exquisite jewels by Martin Katz, which included 23.58 carat black spinel briolette earrings and a white gold clip-on bangle, (also by the designer). An updo and dramatic eye makeup polished off her premiere look.
Red is definitely Sandra’s color on the red carpet, and I think she totally rocked the opening of the Venice Film Festival. Do you agree?
