It was Selena’s night at the Young Hollywood Awards on August 1, where she received TWO awards. But with Justin touring in the NYC area, Selena was forced to go solo. Do you think the Biebs texted her some words of support from across the country?
One thing’s for sure — it’s definitely Selena Gomez’s night. The 21-year-old star received not one, but two awards at the Young Hollywood Awards on August 1. Unfortunately, with concerts in the NYC area on July 31 and August 2, Justin Bieber wasn’t able to make the long back-and-forth trip, so Selena did it all without anyone on her arm.
Selena Gomez Honored At The YHAs… Without Justin Bieber
Since Selena was receiving her awards for Fan Favorite Album and Most Anticipated Tour right at the beginning of the show, she skipped the red carpet and headed straight backstage.
But that didn’t keep us from noticing that a certain someone wasn’t in attendance. Justin has been there for Selena at other awards shows like the 2013 Billboard Awards and the 2012 AMAs, but she looked like she didn’t need anyone at the 2013 YHAs — Selena was incredibly sexy and strong accepting her awards in a tight black dress that we’re sure had the Biebs drooling from his couch.
You can’t really blame Justin for his absence though — once again his “Believe” tour pulled him away from the love of his life. And you now he’s probably monitoring her closely and has to be crazy proud of everything she’s accomplished.
Selena Gomez: Was She Missing Justin Bieber?
After Justin shockingly showed up to Selena’s blowout 21st birthday party on July 27 with a single rose — and they left together! — we were just about ready for anything to happen between these two.
Can you imagine how crazy everyone would have gone if he somehow managed to make it to the show!?
