Simon Cowell has landed himself in some very hot water. In light of the shocking news that he is expecting a child with married New York City socialite Lauren Silverman, her estranged husband Andrew Silverman has named Simon in the divorce papers as an adulterer.
Simon Cowell Named Adulterer — Pregnant Lauren Silverman’s Divorce Papers Say
On August 1, Simon, 53, was named as an adulterer in the divorce papers filed by Andrew. He made the unusual choice to name Simon as a co-respondent in the divorce papers he filed in the Manhattan Supreme Court in mid-July 2013, naming adultery as the reason for ending the marriage, reports the Daily Mail.
Andrew’s brother insists that news of 36-year-old Lauren’s pregnancy constituted a breach of trust by Simon, who was close friends with the couple. Alexander Silverman said that “It is an unbelievable story of betrayal. It is a sad story and a tragic story,” reports the Daily Mail.
This is certainly an unusual situation, and it is sad that all this messy divorce is dampening the good news — Simon and Lauren are having a baby!

Simon and Lauren are expecting their first child together! “She’s around 10 weeks along,” an insider tells Us Weekly.
While Lauren is obviously still married, she and Andrew have been separated for over one year. They have a young son together.
“Lauren and Andrew have been unhappy in their marriage for some time, and their divorce has been in the works for a while. As their marriage deteriorated, she and Simon became close,” the source added.
Sources close to the pair reveal they have been seeing each other for about a year.
