One day before Justin surprised Selena with a single rose at her birthday party on July 27, the “Come & Get It” singer revealed that she’s “definitely single.” Is she hiding her true feelings for Justin or is she just as confused as we are?
Selena Gomez: ‘Definitely Single’ — Hiding True Feeling For Justin Bieber?
When asked if she thinks the media plays up her relationship with the 19-year-old “Heartbreaker” singer, Selena, 21, told the Associated Press:
I think they do kind of blow it up in a way and I do think they want to have something to talk about, so that’s the easy thing to do. … I’ve known him for a really long time and we enjoy each other’s company every now and then. But I’m definitely single and enjoying being that.
Furthermore, on July 21, Selena also told Ryan Seacrest that she’s single.

Perhaps Selena isn’t a big believer in labels. After all, Carrie Bradshaw once said: “Some labels are best left in the closet.” (And let’s be real — any Sex and the City advice is great advice.)
