Aisha’s witty comedy and ability to relate to the fans made her a great host of the 2013 YHAs! Her funny one-liners and fun interactions with the honorees had us laughing every time she came to the stage.
Aisha Tyler brought out her sassy wit in full force as host of the 15th Annual Young Hollywood Awards. She looked like she was having the time of her life hanging out with Hollywood’s hottest fresh faces, which made her come across as a really relatable and fun host!

Aisha just straight out says what we’re all thinking: there were some seriously hot celebs in attendance of this year’s Young Hollywood Awards show! “Unfortunately, you can’t buy stock in celebrities — otherwise I’d be sitting on a pile of Ryan Gosling right now. … Or I would just be sitting on Ryan Gosling,” Aisha joked in her opening monologue. Truth!
Aisha couldn’t help but stress the Young Hollywood Awards’ uncanny ability to select the hottest celebs out of the fresh faces in attendance. ”We are like psychics in recognizing talent,” she said about how awesome the awards are in picking out the future’s biggest names. Taylor Swift, Emma Stone, and Liam Hemsworth – along with plenty other current megastars! -- were all recognized by the YHAs before they went on to be come huge sensations.
Aisha’s funniest moment came when she picked up a donut that Ian Somerhalder bit into backstage — and alerted us all that it’s going to turn into a vampire!
Aisha Tyler Is A Natural Host
Aisha Tyler is a pro host: she has hosted a slew of funny shows — and is currently the new host of Whose Line Is It Anyway? – but her freshest role yet was hosting the 2013 Young Hollywood Awards. She sounded really comfortable and confident hosting the show. Since she clearly identified herself as a fan of the night’s winners and attendees, she came across as genuinely interested and supportive — just like the fans at home! She actually gushed over the stars rather than giving them stuffy introductions.
She wasn’t afraid to poke fun at herself either, at one point joking that she could potentially be mistaken for RuPaul from behind in her sparkly silver dress!
Overall, Aisha came across as likable and down-to-earth: and we’d expect nothing less!
